Admissions Process
Applying to Going Green Academy is Free and Easy!
To begin your educational journey at GGA, follow these 7 steps:
STEP 1 - All new, transfer and returning students (who have not been enrolled in the last two semesters) can apply for admission with an academic advisor.
STEP 2 - Provide the required documents needed to GGA.
What documents are required?
Please provide the following documents below to the Office of Admissions. For questions, contact (404) 829-4437 or e-mail admissions@goinggreenacademy.edu.
Official high school transcripts/GED scores (Official transcript must be in the sealed envelope from the institution. Your high school can mail your transcript to GGA.)
Official test scores: ACT, SAT, COMPASS and ACCUPLACER accepted. If you have not taken one of these tests or it’s been five years since your last test, schedule an appointment to take the ACCUPLACER at GGA!
Immunization records: Proof of two (2) MMRs (measles, mumps, rubella) for students born after January 1, 1957.
STEP 3 - After applying for admission, schedule an appointment to meet with an academic advisor or call (404) 829-4437.
STEP 4 - Attend New Student Orientation (NSO). This step is not required but we highly recommend NSO for all first-time, degree or certificate-seeking students as important information about GGA and strategies to be a successful student is provided.
STEP 5 - Activate your Campus Portal / Student e-mail account. After setting up your account, please allow 24 hours before accessing. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) must be enabled on your device for accessing student e-mail.
STEP 6 - Pay for classes before the drop for non-payment date. Options for making a payment:
Payment Options - Students can pay online, in-person, setup a payment plan, pay by mail or pay over the phone.
Financial Aid - Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon as possible so aid is available before the term begins. Please note: Non-degree seeking students and visiting students are not eligible for financial aid. Additional FAFSA information (what is required, dos and dont's, and more) is available on our Financial Aid FAQ page. Thinking about applying for a loan to pay for your classes? Before applying for a loan, it's suggested that you explore the different student grants and scholarship opportunities available which offer money that doesn't need to be paid back.
STEP 7 - Purchase textbooks and course materials in-person at the Main Campus.
